Moving from v2 to v2.1
Moving from Notabene v2 to v2.1 leaves little to change in your existing integration. Notabene runs the switch, and your existing API calls keep working as before.
Notabene first copies your sandbox accounts into v2.1, so your team can try the new dashboard and check that everything works. Once you are satisfied, Notabene does the same for production and switches you over to v2.1.

Your move to v2.1: what you need to do
Everything comes with you and your integration keeps working as it does today. Here is who does what, from kickoff to done. Your dates and window length are agreed with you.
Notabene
What Notabene does
You
What you do
01
Kickoff
Agree your date
Notabene · What Notabene does
Kickoff call with your Solutions Engineer and CSM, with named contacts on both sides.
Agree your move date and synced window, with the notice your contract requires.
You · What you do
Name a technical contact and a compliance contact.
Tell Notabene early if you allow-list its IPs, pin its TLS certificates or encrypt personal data yourself.
02
Get ready
Days to weeks before
Notabene · What Notabene does
Bring everything across: account, users, policies, address book, customers and transactions.
Set up your policies in v2.1, ready for your review.
List the small differences you may notice.
You · What you do
Review and sign off your policies with Notabene, which does not move you until you do.
Join a dashboard walkthrough and confirm your v2.1 login.
03
Move day
Your agreed date
Notabene · What Notabene does
Switch you to v2.1. Billing moves at the same moment, so you are never billed twice.
An engineer on call and a test transaction in each direction.
You · What you do
Start working in the v2.1 dashboard.
Little to change in your integration: same URL, credentials and IDs, and your webhooks keep arriving at the same endpoints.
04
Synced window
Length agreed with you
Notabene · What Notabene does
Show your pending V2 transactions in their own tab in v2.1, kept up to date.
Hypercare check-ins, and a pending-transaction list if you want one.
You · What you do
Finish the pending V2 transactions you care about, with “Open in V2” or through the API as today.
05
Done
Once the window closes
Notabene · What Notabene does
Help you check that nothing is left unfinished.
You · What you do
Nothing more. Your V2 transactions stay in v2.1 to view, read-only.
What stays the same
API base URL and credentials webhook endpoints and signing secrets your DID transfer and customer IDs logins and roles data region
Good to know
Screening results attach to the counterparty or wallet rather than each transaction. A few small differences in webhooks and fields are listed for you before the move.
Encrypt personal data yourself?
You have one extra step: a small update to how you encrypt and decrypt. Notabene helps you with it, and only schedules your move once you are ready.
If you allow-list Notabene’s addresses in your firewall, Notabene IPs lists them.
If you encrypt personal data yourselfv2.1 does not take field-by-field encryption. Encrypt the originator’s and the beneficiary’s IVMS-101 records instead, each whole record as one JWE sent in place of the plain one, as described in Encryption.
